A 'Device' Threat Against the Plane

Passengers on a Pacific Blue flight from Fiji were evacuated at Sydney Airport last night after a threat was made against the plane.
The aircraft, with 102 passengers on board, arrived from Nadi about 5.45pm and was parked away from the terminal as a precaution. Passengers and crew were then evacuated.
Emergency services and police examined the aircraft following reports of a suspicious device on board. Nothing was found and the all-clear was given two hours after the scare began.
Virgin Blue spokeswoman Amanda Bolger said flight DJ154 was 15 minutes out from Sydney when the company received a phone call to one of its call centres. The Australian Federal Police will investigate whether the call had been routed through the Philippines.
