Air Unfair?
Oct. 09, 2006
The US will complain to the World Trade Organization about subsidies given by European governments to planemaker Airbus SAS, the Sunday Telegraph reported, without saying where it obtained the information.
Airbus has always taken loans to build aircraft from European governments, paying them back only if the plane is a commercial success, the newspaper said.
Even though the company is unlikely to earn a return on its A380 superjumbo, it's considering asking for money to develop mid-sized planes, according to the report.
