Air China continues to upgrade its service and has added new A330-200 aircraft to its Australia routes from December 1, 2006. The new aircraft will support Air China's daily service, which connects Beijing and Shanghai to both Sydney and Melbourne.

The newly delivered A330s feature on-demand audio and video throughout the aircraft, while the premium cabins offer lie-flat seats. Air China is the first of the Chinese carriers to offer audio and video on-demand on the important Australia routes, providing a world-class standard of onboard entertainment and comfort.

Air China currently has six A330-200s in its fleet of 207 jet aircraft. The A330s join A319s, A320s, and A340s. Air China's Airbus fleet complements its 137 Boeing aircraft in service.

Air China's Australia schedule features flights CA175/6 and CA177/8. Flight CA175 departs Beijing at 18:05 and then Shanghai at 21:25 every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, arriving Sydney at 10:55 local time the next day. Flight CA177 departs Beijing at 14:10 and Shanghai at 17:40 every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, arriving first in Melbourne and then Sydney at 10:55 the next day.
