People who travel by air are always concerned about if the plane can take off on time. The General Administration of Civil Aviation have revealed the name of airline companies that have the most frequent flight delays.
During January to November, the on time rate of nearly all airline companies had declined, except Shandong Airlines and Air China. The ratio of flight delays on some routes even reached 90 percent during the rainy season of June to August. The administration said it would carry out a standard on normal flights next year, which will help travellers choose airline companies.
Meanwhile, the director said China's civil aviation industry saw profits jump to more than nine billion yuan in the first 11 months this year, a rise of 50 percent over the same period last year, despite huge losses caused by jet fuel prices in the first half. This is because the government allowed fuel surcharge on customers by airline companies since the third quarter. Air China recorded the highest profit of all airline companies.
