ATR Opens Spare Parts Distribution Centre in Auckland
ATR | Jan. 22, 2007
On January 22, ATR announced the opening of a new spare parts distribution centre in Auckland (New Zealand) to meet the needs of its operators in the Pacific area for the maintenance and overhaul of their ATR fleets. This is the fourth ATR warehouse worldwide, with others in Paris, Miami and Singapore.
By opening this new support facility, ATR reinforces its strong presence in the Pacific area after having opened a Sales Office in Sydney last November.
Jean-Pierre Cousserans, SVP Customer Services, stated: "This investment is clear evidence of our commitment to continuous improvement to meet our high standards of quality service and to further enhance proximity to our operators in this important region."
ATR is already well established in the South Pacific area with some 30 aircraft currently operated by Air Caledonie, Air Tahiti, Mount Cook Airlines, Airlink of Papua New Guinea, Air Vanuatu, Air Pacific and the government of French Polynesia.
DHL Solutions, a worldwide logistics company, will manage this spare parts distribution centre as part of the global contract signed with ATR last year. ATR will soon implement another step of its Asian support development plan by opening a spare part distribution centre in Delhi (India), also operated by DHL Solutions.
