Air China Offers Non-stop Charter Flights Across Taiwan Strait During Spring Festival
Jan. 29, 2007
Air China will offer seven round-trip charter flights from Beijing to Taipei, plus one flight from Beijing to Kaohsiung, during the upcoming Spring Festival period of February 14 to 26. The Spring Festival period celebrates the important Chinese Lunar New Year, which falls on February 18 this year.
For the spring festival charter flights, Air China will use a newly acquired Boeing aircraft that bears a special exterior theme for the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. This new Olympic-themed airplane is painted with the mascots of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games - the five "Fuwa" on each side of its fuselage.
"We have dedicated the new Beijing Olympic Fuwa liner to the charter flight services for the Spring Festival, and we hope it will bring an interesting and festive atmosphere to our Chinese Lunar New Year's passengers," said Mrs. Zhang Lan, Air China's Senior Vice President.
The Beijing-Taipei schedule is February 14, 15, and 16 before the Spring Festival and February 24, 25, and 26 after the Festival. Air China will offer two flights on February 15 and one flight on each of the other five days. In addition, Air China will offer one round-trip flight on February 16 from Beijing to Kaohsiung.
