Defence contractor and aircraft maintenance firm Singapore Technologies Engineering (ST Engineering) said its first quarter net profit fell 30 per cent year-on-year to S$85 million.
The firm said this was due to lower contributions from its aerospace and land systems divisions.
Revenue was nearly flat at S$1.3 billion, but the company has an order book of over S$11 billion.
ST Engineering said almost S$3 billion of this order book is expected to be delivered in the remaining months of 2009.
Barring unforeseen circumstances, ST Engineering expects to achieve comparable profits before tax for FY2009 against FY2008.
