Vienna Airport Halts Building of New Terminal: CEO
Jun. 30, 2009
Vienna airport operator Flughafen Wien has suspended construction of its new Skylink terminal but still expects it to be finished in 2011, chief executive Herbert Kaufmann said on Jun. 30.
"There is a building suspension," Kaufmann told Reuters, adding he still hoped to open the terminal by July 2011.
The project has been riddled by delays and cost overruns. Kaufmann said he wanted to keep the costs well below EUR830 million (US$1.16 billion).
