On the afternoon of September 13, World Routes 2009, which is also known as the 15th World Route Development Forum and being the biggest event ever organized by the Route Development Group Ltd., was officially opened in Beijing with countless high-profile industry executives and government officials attending the opening ceremony.
At this stage, up-to-date information gathered by CARNOC.com suggests that the World Routes 2009 has attracted over 3,000 registered delegates from more than 500 airport operators, 200 airlines, 100 suppliers, 50 travel and trade agencies and 10 international organizations from a total of 120 countries.
It's also understood by CARNOC.com that Beijing-based Capital Airports Holding Company (CAH), the parent company and operator of Beijing Capital International Airport (BCIA), is the sole host for the event with the four largest Chinese airlines, namely Air China, China Eastern Airlines, China Southern Airlines and Hainan Airlines, appointed as official carriers.
Furthermore, in order to ensure the smooth running of the World Routes 2009, CAH has recruited more than 300 volunteers to assist in various tasks and most delegates interviewed by CARNOC.com seem to be highly impressed with the overall organization and coordination.
