Australia: Flying Doctor Looks to Bolster Interstate Ties
ABC News | Jul. 27, 2010
The recently appointed chief executive officer of the Victorian section of the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) is hopeful of forging even closer ties with the Broken Hill operations.
Scott Chapman and five board members of the Victorian RFDS branch have held an inaugural joint meeting with the south-east division in Broken Hill and expect more to follow.
The Broken Hill and Victorian divisions share common ground at Melbourne's Essendon airport and the partnership could expand in the future.
"It was a tremendous meeting, you've got the Victorian section with the work they do, you have the south-east section, obviously based here in Broken Hill, who do some work in Victoria - it only makes sense that both boards get together every now and again to look at ways we can collaborate, align our visions and assist each other with providing the service," Mr Chapman said.
