China Eastern Airlines plans to increase the frequency of its non-stop Nanchang-Taipei flights to four times a week from twice starting Oct. 30, 2011. The move will play a positive role in promoting people-to-people contacts, commerce and trade, tourism and industrial cooperation between Jiangxi and Taiwan Province.
In September 2009, China Eastern launched Nanchang-Taipei direct flight once a week and the frequency was increased to twice a week since February 2010. The Shanghai-based carrier plans to increase two more flights on Wednesdays and Saturdays from Oct. 30, 2011, in response to the deepening of economic cooperation and trade between Jiangxi and Taiwan and the increasingly close ties between people from the two places.
The outbound flight MU2047 is scheduled to take off from Nanchang at 8:20 a.m., arriving at Taipei Taoyuan International Airport at 10:00 a.m. The return flight MU2048 will leave Taipei at 16:20 p.m., and arrive in Nanchang at 18:05 p.m.
When new flights added, CES's Nanchang-Taipei service will increase to four times weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. All the four flights' departure time from Nanchang is at 8:20 a.m., operating with an Airbus A320.
