Air China Passenger Throughput Up 3.5% in Aug.

Air China posted a 3.5 percent year-on-year rise in passenger throughput to 4.6 million person-times in August, reports yicai.com, citing a company filing. Passenger throughput in July was 4.42 million person-times.
Cargo throughput decreased 1.6 percent year-on-year to 92,333.6 tons in August.
Passenger throughput during the first eight months rose six percent year-on-year to 32.77 million person-times, while cargo throughput was up 3.3 percent to 753,921.4 tons.
The passenger load factor rose 2.1 percentage points year-on-year to 86.1 percent in August.
For the first eight months, the passenger load factor declined 1.6 percentage points year-on-year to 57.7 percent.
Shares of Air China were up 1.27 percent to trade at 8.80 yuan at 10:42 a.m. today.
