Sydney Airport Delays after Customs Workers Strike Again

International passengers have again been frustrated by delays at Sydney Airport after customs workers struck again on Thursday, local media reported.
About 200 customs staff at the airport held stop work meetings between 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. (local time) on Thursday over a pay dispute.
The action caused delays for overseas passengers arriving in Australia.
There will be another meeting at 7:00 p.m. (local time) on Thursday and more rolling industrial action is planned on Saturday, according to the Community and Public Sector Union.
"There have been substantial delays at the airport," CPSU National President Michael Tull told the Australian Associated Press (AAP) on Thursday.
However, Customs said passengers have been not affected by the stoppages as bad as Tuesday.
"There have been minimal delays, about 15 to 20 minutes," a spokeswoman for Customs told AAP.
There were major disruptions when thousands of customs and quarantine workers walked off the job at more than 50 locations on Tuesday morning.
