Ordos Airport Transported over 900,000 Passengers, Up 45.3 Percent

Ordos Airport said the number of passengers it transported this year increased 45.3 percent year-on-year to around 903,089 as of October 12, while the mail and cargo traffic jumped 62.2 percent to 3,446 tons compared with the same period of the previous year. The airport handled a total of 9,060 flights, up 43.2% over last year.
Ordos Airport is located in Ordos, Inner Mongolia, China. First built in 1959 as Dongsheng Airport, the airport was rebuilt in 2005 at a cost of 350 million yuan, and re-opened in July 2007.
Currently, Ordos Airport operates 18 routes to 22 domestic cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Xi'an, Shenzhen, Zhengzhou, Wuhan, Tianjin, Dalian, Xiamen and other Chinese mainland cities.
