Pacific Business News | Nov. 16, 2011
American Airlines and Japan Airlines have announced the joint operation of Japan Airlines' Sakura Lounge at the Honolulu International Airport, effective immediately.
The 7,000-square-foot shared lounge is a first for the two airlines since becoming business partners in 2010. It also will serve as a lounge for American Airlines' Admirals Club customers.
The lounge is located on the third level of the overseas terminal, close to American Airlines' ticket counter, gates, and security checkpoint.
The facility also offers views of the fishponds and cultural gardens at the airport. There are two computers with Internet access in the business area, with complimentary Wi-Fi, massage lounge chairs and a self-service beverage counter.
The jointly operated Honolulu lounge will employ representatives from both airlines to serve customer needs.
