Hong Kong Airlines to Update Fleet for Its Beijing Services with A330

Hong Kong Airlines Limited announced its thrice-daily services to Beijing will be operated using all wide-body aircraft from Jan. 1, 2012.
Hong Kong Airlines will replace its Boeing 737-800 aircraft with a new Airbus A330-200 on the Hong Kong-Beijing service from Jan. 1, 2012, upgrading its fleet for the flights to all wide-body aircraft.
The A330-200 aircraft is configured with 259 economy class seats and 24 business class seats with independent In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) system for each seat in both cabins, enabling passengers to watch movies, TV shows, play games, etc.
Currently, Hong Kong Airlines operates the thrice-daily Beijing-Hong Kong services with a Boeing 737-800 and two A330-200s. The Hong Kong-based carrier will be able to offer more than 10,000 seats per week on the round-trip flights between Hong Kong and Beijing after upgrading its fleet.
