JAL to Promote Yoshiharu Ueki to President

Japan Airlines (JAL) plans to name Senior Managing Executive Officer Yoshiharu Ueki to replace President Masaru Onishi, informed sources said Friday.
Ueki, 59, will be the first pilot-turned-executive to head the company, known as JAL. He is expected to take office as early as February.
