Familiar sources at Guangzhou-based China Southern Airlines, one of Asia's largest air carriers, told chinaaviationdaily.com that the airline will focus on providing better quality inflight meals this year as part of its passenger comfort enhancement strategies. The carrier is gradually rolling out a newly refreshed menu across its entire network, including both domestic and international services.
According to information obtained by chinaaviationdaily.com, the new gourmet offerings aboard China Southern Airlines flights are to be created and tested by master chefs at the airline-affiliated inflight catering companies and the menu is supposedly to follow the principal concept of "gracious, malleable, balanced and nourishing" in Chinese food culture. It's understood that the new menu is initially set to be implemented on routes linking Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen only.
