China National Aviation Holding Co (CNAH), the parent company of Air China, has signed an agreement with the China Europe International Business School for high-ranking executives to study at the elite school.
The two parties will collaborate on developing talented executives with global views, open minds, to be innovative and competitive for CNAH, as the company competes on a global scale, said a company executive.
Wang Changshun, president of CNAH, said the deal is a milestone for cooperation between the two parties.
As a large State-owned air transport holding company, CNAH seeks to build an aviation industrial group with a global reach.
The corporation should keep up with the latest developments to adapt to the challenges of globalization.
The agreement will allow 100 high-ranking executives to take part in EMBA courses in this top-notch business school in Asia during a five-year period, as well as developing 1,000 reserved talents through the Star Alliance platform and 10,000 junior airline staff in local high learning institutes for the next 10 years.
He said talented employees make for a more productive workforce that is an effective way to achieve higher scientific development.
The agreement also includes cooperation with marketing, plane type selections, airline distribution modes and passenger service management studies.
In an age of globalization, top-notch skills of talented executives, resources, information and capital can build stronger ties of interdependence between national economies while increasing competition.
Executive president of the school, Zhu Xiaoming said the agreement shows cooperation between the two sides to cultivate more talented workers and establish more effective research projects.
The school will serve as a center for training executive talents and R&D along with a project management base to provide primary intellectual resources and manpower for the development of the company, Zhu said.
Cooperation comes in response to a strategic plan to find more talented individuals to work for State-run enterprises.
To inspire a group of entrepreneurs and managers to maintain a global vision with a pioneering spirit, innovative abilities and a strong sense of corporate social responsibilities is part of the talent strategy plan, Zhu said.
China Europe International Business School has long enjoyed good relations with State-owned companies.
Its alumni hold senior management positions at 31 State-owned companies and 15 of them hold positions of corporate presidents or general managers.
