Gama Engineering has introduced what it claims is "the first child's seat certified for takeoff and landing on most business jet configurations."
The firm, based at Fairoaks Airport in the UK, demonstrated the seat in a Challenger 300 at the EBACE show last month, noting that it is already in service with long-haul carriers Virgin Atlantic and Cathay Pacific.
The Gama Group division says the seat is compliant with the requirements of TSO-C100b and has been approved for installation under EASA STCs for carriage on all Airbus and Boeing commercial aircraft. And it is now available for a wide range of corporate jets, including those manufactured by Bombardier, Dassault and Gulfstream.
The seat's color and upholstery can be customized to match an aircraft interior. It is designed to accommodate children up to 3 feet 3 inches tall and weighing up to 44 pounds.
