China Aviation Daily | Jun. 18, 2012
On June 18th, 2012, the 3rd International Aviation and Aerospace Trade Exhibition and Negotiation Fair (Aeromart) opened officially at Binhai International Convention & Exhibition Centre, which is co-sponsored by Airbus, AVIC, the Tianjin municipal government, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and Business Conventions International (BCI) of France.
Aeromart was initiated by BCI and has been successfully held in France for 13 years. Aeromart Beijing 2007 was the first time that China hosted the event, which attracted more than 160 aerospace and aviation enterprises worldwide. Aeromart Tianjin 2009 witnessed a record participation of 451 enterprises, more than twice as many as in 2007.
About 100 companies and key actors from the aerospace Industry (including foreigner and local companies) attend the summit this year. EADS/ Airbus sponsor this bi-annual event, which represents the perfect opportunity to promote more aeronautical activities in New Binhai Area of Tianjin.
By supporting Aeromart in China, Airbus commits to setting up a platform to introduce international and Chinese aeronautical actors to each other, allowing them to assess the existing market and its potential, or even to discover new partnerships and business opportunities.
Aeromart Tianjin 2012 is also the right forum for western companies without footprint in China to understand the local aeronautical industry trend, along with worldwide aeronautical leaders. Thanks to the accurate level of professionalism injected by the organizers in this event, Chinese and Western suppliers can also have a window on Airbus and EADS growth plan in the country.
At Aeromart 2012, EADS/Airbus will meet the industry's stakeholders and give an overview about the business related to Airbus industrial projects and footprint in China, EADS/Airbus procurement global sourcing strategy and optimization of logistics and transportation.
As industrial cooperation between Airbus and the Chinese aviation industry keeps growing, Airbus is increasing its purchase value in China on yearly basis. Airbus expects that its purchase value will reach half billion U.S. dollars by 2015. At present, almost 6,800 Airbus planes are in service with more than 440 consumers/operators worldwide. There are components and parts made in China on all Airbus aircraft Families.
In China, Airbus not only sells aircraft but also commits to a comprehensive and in-depth cooperation with the Chinese aviation industrial partners. Airbus established the only A320 family Final Assembly Line outside Europe in Tianjin, a composite component manufacturing centre in Harbin as well as the Hua Ou Aviation Training and Support Centre and an Engineering Centre in Beijing. Airbus keeps its promise to China to support its sustainable and healthy development for a long term.
