Strong Winds Damage International Airport in Tbilisi

Winds at more than 120 kilometers per hour tore off parts of the roof of the new international airport terminal in Tbilisi, Georgia, and left much of the city without electricity for hours.
One person was killed by a large branch torn off a tree by the winds in Telavi, police said.
The wind that began on Feb. 24's evening and continued through Feb. 25 in much of the eastern part of the country.
An estimated 150,000 customers remained without power on Feb. 25, though it was largely restored in Tbilisi. The new airport terminal opened less than three weeks ago.
