Ameco Beijing's 2006 Revenue More Than 2 Billion Yuan

Ameco Beijing, an aircraft maintenance joint venture between Air China and Deutsche Lufthansa AG said revenue exceeded two bln yuan in 2006, up 5.6 pct, a new record.
The company did not provide a net profit figure.
The statement said that 67 pct of the company's aircraft overhaul business last year came from international customers.
During the year, Ameco Beijing signed a five-year Boeing 777 heavy maintenance agreement with United Airlines, and conducted overhauls for customers including Asiana, Air Atlanta Icelandic, Kenya Airways, El Al and Qantas and so on.
The joint venture said it now has over 45 line maintenance customers.
Ameco Beijing added that it is actively expanding its capabilities, with its line maintenance stations in Guangzhou and Shanghai ready to take more business. The venture said it has also further developed its landing gear overhaul business, a training school and other engineering services.
Ameco Beijing added that its A380 hangar in Beijing will be put into use before the 2008 Olympics.
The joint venture is 60 pct-owned by Air China and 40 pct-owned by Lufthansa.
