China Eastern to Launch Shanghai-Maldives-Johannesburg Service

According to information released by China Eastern Airlines, the airline will launch the operation of Shanghai-Maldives-Johannesburg service on April 27, as it further expands its international network. The carrier will operate two return flights per week on the route using Airbus A340-300 aircraft.
On Tuesdays and Fridays, MU213 departs Shanghai Pudong International Airport at 23:55 with arrival into Maldives scheduled at 04:55, then leaves Maldives 70 minutes later, and finally arrives in Johannesburg at 10:15 (the next day if origin is Shanghai).
The return flight to Shanghai (MU214) leaves Johannesburg at 14:05 on Wednesdays and Saturdays, scheduled arrival time in Maldives at 00:50. The flight continues from Maldives to Shanghai at 02:00, and finally arrives in Shanghai at 12:20 (the next day if origin is Johannesburg).
