A foreign man who passed out after drinking an entire bottle of liquor at Beijing Capital International Airport on March 31, had to be rushed to hospital for treatment.

Going through the airport's security check ahead of a flight to Shenzhen, staff members found two bottles of liquor and told him he could only place them in his checked-in luggage, as per the requirements.

However, instead of discarding them he instantly began to drink the entire contents of a 600 milliliter bottle, passing out a few minutes later.

The man later recovered in hospital after missing his flight.
