Dragonair will increase the number of flights to Busan, South Korea, from three times a week to daily from July 1, subject to government approval, to meet market demand.

"We have been seeing strong demand on our Busan route since its launch in January," said CEO Kenny Tang. "The performance of the route over the Lunar New Year period and the Easter holidays was particularly good, with load factors on return flights from Busan at close to 100 per cent."

Dragonair's new schedule to Busan will be as follows:

"We shall be introducing Korean cabin crew on our Busan flights in early May in order to make our Korean passengers feel more at home, and this is expected to help boost demand ex-Busan," said Mr Tang. "At the same time, awareness in Hong Kong of Busan as a business and leisure destination is growing, and is expected to help underpin future growth."
