Over Half of JAL's Department Chiefs to Quit

On April 17, Japan Airlines Corp said more than half of its department chiefs and other senior management officials aged 54 or older will quit on June 30, 2007, under an early retirement program.
About 250, or 55%, of around 450 senior management-level employees have applied for the program introduced as part of JAL's mid-term business improvement plan, Japan's biggest airline said.
