CAAC: Flight Punctuality Rate Averages 83.61% in Q1

According to the latest figures released by the General Administration of Civil Aviation of China (CAAC), the average flight punctuality rate of China's mainland airlines reached 83.61% during the first quarter of 2007.
Based on released data, mainland carriers operated nearly 400,000 scheduled flights transporting more than 40.8 million passengers during the period.
Shandong Airlines, Air China and China Eastern Airlines achieved top 3 in terms of flight regularity based on statistical results.
During the period, mainland airlines also carried a total of 31,304,002 pieces of checked-in baggage with only 2,088 pieces mishandled.
In addition, CAAC only received 53 valid passenger complaints against mainland airlines as well as 3 valid complaints against airport operators during the first quarter this year.
