On May 20, the main landing gear of an Air Canada Jazz airliner collapsed shortly after the plane landed at Toronto's Pearson Airport from Moncton, New Brunswick, media reported.
"After landing and while moving from the active runway onto the taxiway, the main landing gear buckled," Manon Stuart, spokeswoman for Air Canada Jazz, confirmed.
The 37 passengers and three crew members aboard the 50-seat Bombardier CRJ-100 were not injured, said Stuart.
Airport official Lorrie McKee said the passengers had been taken off the aircraft and processed by the Peel Regional police.
All the passengers and crew had undergone medical examination at the airport, according to Stuart.
Both the runway and the taxiway were closed, pending an investigation by the Transportation Safety Board of Canada.
Stuart said this is the first time an incident like this has occurred involving this aircraft.
