ExecuJet Europe Strengthens Its Market Position in Services in Germany
ExecuJet Aviation Group | May 22, 2007
On May 21, ExecuJet, one of the world's leading companies for aircraft sales and integrated services in the field of private and business aviation, has announced that the Luftfahrt-Bundesamt in Braunschweig has awarded ExecuJet with a German Air Operator's Certificate (AOC). ExecuJet's first German-registered aircraft to operate under the umbrella of this new AOC will be a Bombardier Learjet 60. More aircraft are expected to follow soon.
Since 1997 ExecuJet has been an active player in the western European business aviation market, the company's commercial business aviation fleet in Europe flying under the regulatory mandate of AOC's in Switzerland and Denmark.
In 2005 the company commenced its investment in Germany by buying into LBAS, followed in mid 2006 by the establishment of an FBO (Fixed Base Operation) at Berlin Schonefeld Airport, offering VIP and lounge facilities for passengers flying on private aircraft. Today the company manages and operates about 50 aircraft across Europe.
"ExecuJet sees enormous potential in the German market and decided to base its AOC in Berlin-Schonefeld, the capital's airport," said Patrick Kleu, Managing Director of ExecuJet in Europe. "We want to send a signal that we have confidence in the future development of aerospace in both Berlin and in Germany as a whole. We expect that the very positive trend in the field of business aviation will continue."
In the last eighteen months ExecuJet has, owing to its customer-oriented aircraft management propositions, been in the position to integrate 14 new aircraft into the European fleet. The management of a further six aircraft has been contracted and will be added to the fleet in the near future.
ExecuJet offers a wide range of business aviation services in Germany, including aircraft sales, aircraft management, aircraft completion management, charter and VIP handling. As a result of the company's joint venture partnership with Lufthansa Technik and Bombardier in Lufthansa Bombardier Aviation Services (LBAS), ExecuJet is also an active player in the field of aircraft maintenance at Berlin-Schonefeld.
