Australia: Adelaide's International Passenger Growth Trails Sydney
ABC Online | May 08, 2007
The latest figures from Australia's Bureau of Transport and Regional Economics show Adelaide has the second-largest growth in international passenger numbers for any Australian airport.
During 2006, more than 400,000 international visitors passed through Adelaide Airport. The figure is almost 20 per cent up on the previous year and represents more than 66,000 people.
While Darwin also recorded a big increase in its passenger numbers, Sydney continues to account for almost half of Australia's international traffic.
