The Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China, Ltd. (COMAC) will participate in the Farnborough International Airshow 2012 held during July 9-15, at Farnborough Airport (FAB), UK to showcase its C919 aircraft.
At the Farnborough International Airshow 2010, COMAC displayed models of its indigenous aircraft -- ARJ21 regional jet and C919 commercial narrow-body aircraft -- for the first time.
In 2011, COMAC unveiled its full-scale cabin mock-up of the C919 at the Paris Airshow, which shows COMAC's determination to enter the international market, said a senior executive of the planemaker.
It is predicted that the C919 air frame will make its full appearance at the Farnborough International Airshow 2012. In addition, the organizer disclosed that, as the 2014 schedule for the first flight of the C919 approaches, COMAC spares no effort in purchasing more flying space to attract more foreign customers. It can be perceived that China attempts to become a power in aviation industry.
