Etihad Airways has launched a new television commercial titled "Why Etihad" to promote the fast growing airline and mark an exciting new chapter for the airline.
Launched at the start of June, the commercial and campaign focuses on why more than 40 million people have flown with Etihad Airways since its creation in 2003.
Shown on television media across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, UAE, France, Germany, Ireland, UK, the United States, India, Pakistan and Australia, the commercial showcases the home-base of Abu Dhabi where 3.6 million people have flown to on Etihad.
Filmed at the beaches of Saadiyat Island in Abu Dhabi, the commercial features people enjoying a day at the beach who are surprised to see an Etihad A340 perform a low-altitude fly-past.
Filming of the commercial required special approval for Etihad Airways to fly at such a low level near the Saadiyat Island coastline.
