CAS Signs Cooperation Framework Agreement with China's "Big Three" Airlines

China Aviation Supplies Holding Company (CAS) signed a cooperation framework agreement on building aviation supplies sharing platform with China National Aviation Corporation, China Eastern Air Holding Company, and China Southern Air Holding Company at the signing ceremony of Resources Integration and Business Cooperation Conference for Central Enterprises, which was organized by State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC), on July 21, 2012.
CAS president Li Hai signed the agreement with China National Aviation Corporation general manager Wang Changshun, China Eastern Air Holding Company general manager Liu Shaoyong, and China Southern Air Holding Company general manager Si Xianmin. Wang Yong, director of the SASAC, witnessed the signing ceremony. Shao Ning, deputy director of the SASAC, delivered an important speech regarding the work of resources integration and business cooperation for central enterprises at the signing ceremony.
According to the agreement, signing parties will make full use of their respective resources, capabilities and experiences in the area of aviation supplies support to build an aviation supplies sharing platform company together. The platform company will mainly provide high-quality aviation supplies supporting services complementary to each of their own supplying systems to the participants, aiming at becoming a professional aviation supplies supporting servicing company in the industry.
Both the SASAC's "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" of central enterprises and the Civil Aviation Administration of China's (CAAC) "Twelfth Five-Year Plan for China's Civil Aviation Development" have set out clear and specific requirements for "building aviation supplies sharing platform and optimizing configuration of aviation supplies resources." Meanwhile, SASAC will advance business reorganization and integration among central enterprises by carrying out the share-holding system. It will facilitate the further optimization of internal resources of central enterprises and promote the achievement of major tasks by concentrating the forces of central enterprises and create a joint venture and development. The building of aviation supplies sharing platform is underway against this background. This move is an effective way to strengthen the integration of internal resources of central enterprises and to optimize the resources configuration in the civil aviation industry. Building an aviation supplies sharing platform through equity cooperation has far-reaching meanings to the realization of both the interests of enterprises and that of the aviation industry and the nation to a very high degree of unity.
After the signing of framework agreement, cooperative parties will formulate and carry out specific implementation plans pronto under the facilitation and organization of SASAC and CAAC by sticking to the principles of combining each other's advantages and being mutually beneficial. They will endeavor to come to the realization of the completion of building a aviation supplies sharing platform as soon as possible, making much more outstanding contributions to the cause of optimizing aviation resources configuration and facilitating healthy and continuous development of the aviation industry.
