Embraer Holds Maintenance Cost Workshop for Customers
Sep. 18, 2012
With total focus on management and maintenance cost reduction for its commercial jets operators, Embraer is holding this week the 12th edition of its Maintenance Cost Workshop (MCW) in São José dos Campos, Brazil. The event consists of workshops for the discussion of best maintenance practices which guarantee efficiency and efficacy improvements, supporting an even more competitive operation of the EMBRAER 170/190 family, the E-Jets, world leaders in the 70 to 120 seat segment.
"Besides talking about cost reduction best practices, one of the objectives of this event is to stimulate the exchange of experience among operators, suppliers, service centers and Embraer," said Luiz Hamilton Lima, Embraer Vice President, Service & Support - Commercial Aviation. "The workshops focus on fleet availability improvement as well as maintenance cost reduction, two issues of great impact on our customers' operations."
Discussions will emphasize new tools for the early detection of maintenance requirements, in order to improve airline fleet availability. The most important tool, AHEAD-PRO, an evolution of the Aircraft Health Analysis and Diagnosis (AHEAD), is utilized to continually monitor, in real time, the health of the E-Jets.
With the objective of offering more value to its customers, Embraer will promote its e-Solutions at the event, developed to maximize aircraft flight time, and avoid unnecessary operational costs and delays, acting in corrective as well as preventive maintenance.
