Starting from Oct. 12, China Southern Airlines (CZ) will use A380 on the Guangzhou-Los Angeles route, replacing the current Boeing 777.
The seat capacity for a single trip on the Guangzhou-Los Angeles route will increase by nearly 80% from 282 seats to 506, including 8 first class suites, 70 lie-flat business class seats and 428 economy class seats.
The outbound flight CZ327 will take off from Guangzhou at 9:00 p.m. and arrive in Los Angeles at 6:50 p.m. (local time), while the return flight CZ328 is scheduled to leave Los Angeles at 11:30 p.m. and land in Guangzhou at 5:50 a.m. on the third day (local time).
At the beginning of the service, CZ will offer some discount tickets. The airfare of a first class seat is 39,000 yuan for a single trip, and 68,000 yuan for a round trip; the price of a business class ticket is 34,000 yuan for a round trip while an economy class round trip ticket will cost 3,100 yuan.
After the launching of the A380 service, passengers will be able to enjoy the service brought by flight attendants dressed in cheongsam, China's traditional costumes. On top of the current "Air Wine Bar" and "Air Cafe", more services such as the "Air Duty Free Shop" will be provided as well. Besides, tasty dishes cooked by CZ's professional chef will be available for passengers in first and business class.
