Cathay Pacific Launches New Business Class Cabin on London Flights

Cathay Pacific Airways has confirmed the introduction of its new Business Class cabin on its route between London Heathrow and Hong Kong on selected daily flights.
The award-winning product will be gradually rolled out across flights on Cathay Pacific's London to Hong Kong route from September, before being made fully available on its four daily flights early next year.
Cathay Pacific's new Business Class cabin is the result of an intensive and iterative design process involving input from the airline's Marco Polo Club members to refine comfort, versatility and function.
This effort has culminated in a product where every aspect has been thoughtfully designed around passengers' needs, providing a space in which to sleep, dine, work, read, watch TV or simply relax.
The new product, which has progressively been rolled out across routes globally since March 2011, is set to redefine the travel experience for premium passengers.
The seat offers both privacy and openness, with a wing-back chair that cocoons passengers in their own private area and has been carefully designed to maximise living space.
The seats, which are angled to give passengers a perfect view through the windows and are ideal for those travelling with a companion, provide everything passengers need to control either their widescreen in-flight entertainment system or the infinitely adjustable seat.
The seat quickly converts into a bed that is one of the longest and widest provided on any commercial airline - allowing passengers to sleep in any position.
Cathay Pacific chief executive John Slosar said: "Our new Business Class is a genuine collaboration between our customers and our own team."
"The customers know best. This is why in designing the Business Class product we talked to our customers, listened to their feedback, and then incorporated those features they told us would provide them with the optimal balance of productivity, comfort, and privacy."
"This is a seating environment truly designed by the people who use it."
