Third B737 Aircraft Arrives for Hong Kong Express Airways

On May 20, Hong Kong Express Airways took delivery of a new Boeing 737 aircraft. The third of five B737s scheduled to join the airline's fleet during 2007, the new aircraft made its inaugural flight with Hong Kong Express Airways on May 24.
Introduced to increase Hong Kong Express Airways' passenger and cargo capacity, the growing fleet of Boeing 737-800 aircraft can accommodate a total of 164 passengers per flight. By replacing the airline's fleet of Embraer aircraft with the new B737s, Hong Kong Express is furthermore able to extend its Business Class service to more passengers travelling on more routes. Configured in two cabin classes, the new aircraft feature 8 seats in Business Class and 156 seats in Economy.
Selected as the optimum aircraft model to support the airline's plans for expansion as well as serve its existing six Asian destinations, Hong Kong Express Airways' new B737s also maintain the airline's position as operators of one of the regions youngest most advanced fleets.
