On May 31, 2007, Northwest Airlines announced it will resume year-round service between Minneapolis/St. Paul and Vancouver.

Northwest will begin new regional jet service between the cities on Oct. 15, 2007, through May 2, 2008, subject to Canadian government approval. Northwest's mainline service will continue to operate during the peak summer season.

"We are delighted to once again offer year-round service between Minneapolis/St. Paul and Vancouver," said Tom Bach, vice president of network planning and revenue management. "We believe the new dual-class regional jets serving the route will be popular with business and leisure customers."

Northwest flight 2005 will depart Minneapolis/St. Paul at 9:10 a.m., arriving at Vancouver at 10:55 a.m. The return flight, Northwest 2006 will depart Vancouver at noon and arrive at Minneapolis/St. Paul at 5:29 p.m.

Compass Airlines, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Northwest Airlines, will operate the flights using Embraer EMB-175 LR (Long Range) jet aircraft with a best in class spacious cabin. The EMB-175 will accommodate 76 passengers in a dual-class configuration, with 12 seats in first class and 64 seats in coach class. Compass plans to operate a fleet of 10 EMB-175 aircraft by the end of 2007, and 36 aircraft by the end of 2008.
