Herman Anbeek Joins Gate Gourmet as Chief Commercial Officer

Gate Gourmet has named Herman Anbeek, an experienced airline catering executive, as Group Senior Vice President Sales and Marketing and Chief Commercial Officer, and member of the Executive Management Team. He began on June 1 and is based at the Zurich co-headquarters.
In his new role, Anbeek will head Gate Gourmet's global sales and marketing function, which serves more than 250 airline customers. His responsibilities also include leadership of the company's eGate Solutions inflight planning and management capabilities; the FiveOceans Inflight subsidiary of Hong Kong, which offers an integrated supply process for inflight articles; and Packattack and POTM, Netherlands-based partners specializing in designing and developing packaging concepts.

Anbeek comes to Gate Gourmet from LSG Sky Chefs where he was Chief Commercial Officer. Prior to that assignment, he served as Senior Vice President Marketing & Sales - Europe/Middle East/Africa.
Before joining LSG Sky Chefs in 2001, Anbeek worked for KLM Royal Dutch Airlines for seven years in a variety of capacities, including management-level positions in Inflight Services and Catering Services. He also spent five years at Pfister, a Swiss-based furniture and home goods retailer, where he was responsible for the company's main division and sales organization.
Anbeek holds a master's degree in Business Engineering from the University of Technology, Enschede, the Netherlands, where he specialized in strategy, organization studies, logistics and mechanical engineering.
