Cebu Pacific Air | Jun. 13, 2007
Cebu Pacific (CEB), the Philippine's leading domestic airline started flying its direct Manila-Taipei service on June 13. The new service is scheduled to operate daily to and from the Chang Kai Shek International Airport in Taipei.
The Manila-Taipei service will be operated using CEB's 179-seater Airbus A320 aircraft. The flight leaves Manila at 11:10am, arriving in Taipei at 1:10pm. The flight then departs from Taipei at 1:55pm and arrives back in Manila at 3:55pm.
"The bookings on our Taipei flights have been very encouraging. We hope that with the low fares and the convenient schedule for this new destination, we will be able to attract both business and leisure travelers from Taipei. This is part of our commitment to the country's tourism agenda and to bringing air travel closer to more people." Candice Iyog, CEB VP for marketing and product said.
The lowest 'Go' fare to Taipei starts from P1,999 one-way. Iyog added that the best way to purchase tickets is through CEB's website at www.cebupacificair.com.
CEB recently announced the acquisition of additional Airbus and ATR aircraft to complement its continued expansion both domestically and internationally. This is part of CEB's strategy to achieve a target of 5 million passengers by the end of this year and more than 10 million passengers by 2013.
Now in its 12th year, CEB has the youngest fleet in the Philippines with a fleet age of just over one year. CEB operates 14 brand new Airbus aircraft to its 20 domestic and 8 regional destinations.
