Air China Wins Spot in Top 500 Global Brands

Air China was awarded a place in the 2007 "World's 500 Most Influential Brands" released by Dr. Robert Mundell's World Brand Lab. Dr. Robert Mundell, Chairman of World Brand Lab, is the 1999 winner of the Nobel Prize in Economics and is considered "Father of the Euro".
Air China is one of twelve Chinese brands on the list and is the first Chinese airline to be honored as a top-500 world brand, taking the 461st place.
"Air China is proud to receive this recognition," said Mr. Li Jiaxing, Chairman of Air China. "We hope the ranking reflects passengers' enthusiasm for our service, for our global network to and from China, and for the stability of the airline, which has earned a consistent profit for the past six years. We were pleased to be honored last year by Forbes on its 'Global 2000' list of successful companies, and we are likewise very honored by the World Brand Lab."
Air China has provided flying services for its state leaders on their visits abroad for many years and also provides special plane and chartered services for foreign heads of state visiting China. In its commercial cooperation, Air China has code-shared with twenty airlines worldwide. It will become a full member of the Star Alliance later this year and with the full Star Alliance membership will offer its passengers the many benefits of a global alliance and further build its worldwide presence. In North America, Star Alliance members include United Airlines, Air Canada, and US Airways.
As the only Airline Partner of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, Air China is proud to serve the air transport needs of the upcoming Olympic Games and the Paralympic Games.
