Black Box of Indonesia's Adam Air Jetliner to Be Lifted in July
Jul. 16, 2007
"The black box of the Adam Air that crashed into the sea and killed 102 people on New Year's Day will be lifted at the end of this month to find out the cause of the crash," Transport Minister Jusman Djamal said on July 16.
Minister Djamal said that the contract between the airline and Phoenix, a company which could dive up to 2,000 meters under sea surface, had been made.
"The operation of retrieving the box was funded by Adam Air and would be led by the Indonesian Transport Safety Commission," he said.
