Airlines Trial Joint Shuttle Service on Beijing-Shanghai Route

Under the coordination of General Administration of Civil Aviation of China (CAAC), five Chinese airlines will start trial operations of a new joint shuttle service between Beijing and Shanghai on August 6.
The joint shuttle service will cover all flights operated by Air China, China Eastern, China Southern, Hainan Airlines and Shanghai Airlines between Beijing Capital International Airport and Shanghai's Hongqiao Airport.
This new strategy aims to offer the flying public on the route a more seamless travel experience with once-every-30-minute high-frequency schedule, improvement on ticket transfers across different operating airlines, designated check-in area and security checkpoints at both airports etc.
According to CAAC officials, the idea of joint shuttle service may be similarly introduced on other routes between Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen if the Beijing-Shanghai trial becomes a success.
