Juneyao Airlines Takes Delivery of Its First A321 Equipped with Sharklets

Juneyao Airlines (HO)'s first Sharklet equipped A321 aircraft has arrived in Shanghai on Nov. 22. This is the airline's first aircraft equipped with Sharklets and also the second brand new Airbus A321 introduced by the airline this year. Besides, the new aircraft is painted with all red livery.
Sharklets are used by Airbus to improve the efficiency of A320 Family aircraft, offering operators lower fuel consumption, longer range, greater payload capacity and better performance. It not only helps airlines improve the aircraft aerodynamic performance, but also effectively reduces fuel consumption and emissions.
Juneyao Airlines will take delivery of three more A321s equipped with Sharklets and paint them with all red livery. Then it will refresh itself with a brand new fleet painted with unique wine red and golden color and equipped with Sharklets.
The airline's A321 features a two-class configuration with 12 leather first class seats in 3 rows with a width of 40 inches and 178 economy class seats with a width of 31 inches. This new aircraft will be deployed on international routes to Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Jeju.
The arrival of the new aircraft brings the airline's fleet to 34 aircraft, with an average age of 2.5 years, making it the most updated and the youngest fleet in China. Since its establishment, Juneyao Airlines has launched more than 60 international and domestic routes from Shanghai and Hangzhou.
The privately-held airline has opened its first cross-strait flight from Shanghai to Kaohsiung in Nov. and will launch one more cross-strait flight from Shanghai to Taipei next month, providing people in both mainland China and Taiwan with more convenience and travel options.
