On Jan. 20, a brand new Boeing 737-800 aircraft with registration number B-1926 landed smoothly at Kunming Changshui International Airport (KMG) after 19 hours' journey from Seattle, the U.S., and joined the fleet of Kunming Airlines Ltd. (KY), an airline based in Yunnan province of southwest China.

It is the fourth aircraft introduced independently by Kunming Airlines and also the 14th aircraft in its fleet, which will be deployed on routes from Kunming to Hangzhou and Zhengzhou. Kunming Airlines held a grand welcome ceremony for the arrival of the aircraft at Kunming Changshui International Airport (KMG).

Configured with 8 first-class seats and 159 economy-class seats, the new aircraft leverages the visionary design of the 787, offering the features passengers prefer such as large, dimmable windows, large stow bins, modern LED lighting, a lower cabin altitude, cleaner air and a smoother ride.

The introduction of the Boeing 737-800 aircraft will help expand the fleet of Kunming Airlines and optimize its route network.
