China Aviation Daily | May 04, 2014
The first quarter of 2014 was exciting and productive for Boeing Commercial Airplanes. The company logged 235 net orders and delivered 161 airplanes. Standout milestones include the successful raise in rate to 42 737s produced each month, and the first international flight of the 787-9 which flew to New Zealand where its launch customer is based. New Boeing customer SilkAir began its transition to an all-Boeing fleet with the celebratory delivery of its first 737, and several large sales were announced, including SunExpress' order for 40 737s, and SpiceJet's selection of 42 737 MAX airplanes for its fleet.
