The "Spirit of Hong Kong" aircraft with 1,600 paper mache pandas on board landed at Hong Kong International Airport on June 9, where the paper pandas kicked off their Hong Kong tour, as part of a month-long "1,600 Pandas World Tour" campaign.
The paper pandas, created by French artist Paulo Grangeon, came to Hong Kong, after touring France, the Netherlands, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Taiwan and nearly 100 exhibitions since 2008.
