Air France recently introduced its most extravagant seating option yet, the La Premiere suite. More like a private cabin than an airline seat, the suite provides passengers with more than 32 square feet of personal space. When the upmost privacy is desired, passengers can draw its thick curtains, which completely separate the space from the rest of the cabin.

In-flight entertainment options are delivered via a 24-inch touchscreen that offers close to 1,000 hours of high-definition television and movies. The entertainment center can be controlled via a touchscreen remote that also displays additional information about a movie or the status of the flight without interrupting the action on the main screen. A complimentary pair of Bose noise-canceling headphones provides high-quality audio while eliminating distractions.

The suite's plush leather seat can be converted into a completely flat bed that is over 6.5 feet long and more than 2.5 feet wide. When the passenger is ready for bed, a flight attendant will affix a mattress to the folded-down seat and provide a pillow and duvet.

The in-flight menu, which was created by a team of Michelin-starred chefs including Joël Robuchon, offers delicacies such as caviar and foie gras. The La Première suite even allows passengers to share meals together, as it features an ottoman that functions as a second seat and 4 square feet of dining space.

Air France plans to add La Première suites to 19 of its long-haul Boeing 777-300s, with the first example debuting in September.
