China's home-made regional jet ARJ21-700 (Serial No. 105) completed its first flight successfully, with the aircraft landing smoothly at Shanghai Dachang Airport after a 128-minute flight at 2:38 p.m. on June 18, 2014. The fifth ARJ21-700 is the first one to be delivered to its launch customer Chengdu Airlines at the beginning of next year.
Made by the Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC), the ARJ21 aircraft rolled off the assembly line on Dec. 30, 2013 and entered the flight test center on June 10, 2014.
